Project Description
I absolutely LOVED this brief to create a paint range. I decided to base mine on the very county that I live in and named the collection Northumberland Rocks. (Because it does). I’ve included the moodboard I created that inspired the range, a little taster of what this county has to offer.
This collection could grow and grow but I started with a base range of 6 colours for the paint range. The colour palette is based on the locations in the county I chose to highlight. Each colour represents something from that location which is also what I based the patterns on.
If you know this area at all, you’ll see why I chose each icon for my patterns. Although the patterns were originally created for the paint tin packaging, I knew they could also work on fabric or even wallpaper.
I’d love to explore other ranges and grow this one to include more locations in our beautiful county.
