Way before you could lose a whole afternoon on Pinterest, there were photo albums. Stumbling upon an album was a sure fire way to completely forget what you went in that room for because the memories now have to be jogged, right?

This was the feeling I wanted to evoke for my Rosa Reverie pattern collection. Based on a brief entitled Vintage Daydreams, I wanted the collection to have a modern twist on an old photo album, scrapbook or memory box. Somewhere you’d keep old postcards and stamps, paper cuttings, found objects and pressed flowers.

The delicacy of vibrant watercolour florals on rustic torn paper stuck up with washi tape and layered over old printed quotes, notes and postmarks give this hero pattern an old scrapbooking feel. Somewhere to keep your treasured photos, drawings and memories.

Coordinates including disjointed checks and stripes sit alongside daisies and botanical line art drawings creating a rough textured vintage feel.

It makes me want to go through the old photo albums over a delicious afternoon tea in a quaint countryside café.
